After walking the English Way, starting on Ferrol; and the Portugues Way from Tui, it comes the time of starting to walk on the Obradorio Square and we drive to the end of the old continent, Fiterra.

There are 88 kilometers from Santiago to Fisterre. Pilgrims usually split the way in for three or four stages. Due to the lack of time, we decide to do it in two days.

Going out from the city, it can see the first signal that leads us to desired goal.

Pronto abandonamos la ciudad.

Soon, the city is behind us.

In the distance, the towers of the Cathedral raise over the roof of the houses.

During the way, we bump into a big number of pilgrims.

Along the way, we walk through small galician villages.

The shadow of the trees creates a cooler atmosphere.

After 17 kilometeres and almost three hours walking, we arrive at the Aldea Ponte Maceira. It is famous the little stoned bridge that crosses the Tambre river. Perfect spot to have a bath if the stage finishes in Negerira.

We are already in Negreira. After 21 kilometers we make a stop to eat and drink something.

After Negreira, a soft but long uphill is waiting us.

Algunos tramos discurren por asfalto. Apenas hay tráfico.
Some sections run through asphlat. There are hardly any traffic.

In the Albergue O Rueiro, we decide to make the last stop before facing us the last part of this stage.

Along the way, a lot of advertisements of Taxi invites you to  give up.

The first day has already finished. At in this point, after 48 kilometers, we call to Casa Jurjo for they come to pick us up. The rooms, the restaurant and the staff of the Hotel are amazing. I recomend it.

Segundo día. Por delante 40,453 kilómetros para alcanzar Fisterra.

Second day. 40,543 kilometers wait us to reach Fisterra.

The first meters lead us through a nice forest.

Sooner than we wish, we leave the forest.

With each step, the goal is getting closer.

Cruceiros, it thinks that the Cruceiros arrived to Galicia through the Saint James Way between the XI and XII centuries.

The cruceiros are totally built-in the Galicia landscape. We can see them in cross-roads, small villages, cemeteries, and so on. They have a few functions, some of them were: Getting the blessing of God,  protecting the harvests, lead to the pilgrims, ...

At last, we glimpse the ocean in the horizon.

The feared blisters are the worst enemy of the walkers. The punctured tyres are the nightmare of the bikers.

Cee, un pequeño pueblo marinero.
Cee, a small sailor village.

Después de Cee, Corcubión. Bonito pueblo de piedra.
After Cee, Corcubin. An amazing stonned village.

We leave Corcubion through a narrow steep.

Last stopping, beer and potato omelette bocadillo in the Café-Bar A Cabaña situated in Sardiñeiro de Abaixo

There is, that little patch is the Finisterre lighthouse.

La playa de Fisterra, sin palabras.
Fisterra beach, speechless.

El último cruceiro.
The last cruceiro.

Los últimos kilómetros se hacen duros.

The last kilometers are never-ending.

The zoom of the camera approaches us the lighthouse.

El faro de finisterre detrás nuestra.
The Finisterre lighthouse behind us.

El kilómetro cero, objetivo conseguido.

The zero kilometer. The goal has been achieved

Toca celebrarlo con un licor gallego.

We have to cheer it with Galician liquor.

To sum up, they have been two marvellous days, a bit long the trekkings, but it has been worthy. I recommend you.
